Hi David - well at the current time it seems that if you remap your keyboard to a latvian layout, then you can enter all latvian characters correctly. However, Jana tells me that there is also a way of entering characters in Word for Windows, and this is what appears to be incompatible with the forums.
Yes, OSX is the Apple operating system - but I think the way the keyboard remapping works is equivalent to Windows.
See this article for changing your keyboard layout. I'll give it a try when I'm next in St Anne's to confirm that this works.

Right, I'll try that when I drum the energy and courage. It's a shame that the Windows characters don't work because more and more Latvians will be using that method for Word and other MS applications. It seems we are getting lots of hits in terms of Draudze articles being read but very few responses. Is it possible tosee which proportion of hits relates to un-registered users. It may be that Latvians are finding it hard to register. |
